Professional Background

Hillary Owen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor, licensed in Florida, Texas, and Alabama. Since 2005, Hillary has dedicated her career to serving children, adolescents, and families. Hillary received her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Advertising from Southern Methodist University and her Masters in Social Work with a specialty in direct practice with children and families from University of Texas at Arlington. Hillary completed her clinical practicum at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, providing evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment to victims of child abuse and neglect and their caregivers. Most recently, Hillary served as the Clinical Program Manager at New Friends New Life, supervising a team of therapists and overseeing all counseling and case management services for women and children who have been sexually exploited or trafficked.

Therapeutic Approach

Hillary specializes in working with individuals and families who have experienced or are navigating trauma. She is passionate about the impact of family and other social support systems and loves consulting with families, schools, and faith communities to grow in their ability to serve and care for children well. Hillary has extensive training in treating PTSD and attachment trauma, as well as other common co-occurring symptoms including anxiety, depression, dissociation and dissociative disorders, and other behavioral and personality disorders. Hillary’s style is heavily focused on establishing a trusting relationship with warmth and care, and using a strengths-based, directive approach to empower her clients to harness what has happened and experience the fullness of healing. Hillary is EMDR Certified, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, TF-CBT certified, a TBRI® Practitioner, and DBT trained. Learn more about these approaches here.

More about Hillary

Hillary moved to the Santa Rosa Beach area in 2023 after living in Dallas for 18 years. She is thrilled to be back near her hometown of Dothan, AL and to be able to go to the beach regularly, as she grew up doing. She enjoys spending time outside and exploring with her family, and traveling as often as possible to visit extended family. Hillary is an enneagram 2 and practices self-care by doing DIY projects, knitting, painting, and hosting dinner parties. Hillary and her husband have two biological children, are foster parents, and are active in their advocacy for foster children and adoptees.

Professional Background

Autumn Rodriguez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in both Florida and Texas, who has dedicated her career to serving youth, their caregivers/families, and the military community. Autumn received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em Horns!) in 2016 and her Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University in 2019. Autumn completed her clinical practicum at Arizona Children’s Association and the Southern Arizona Veteran Affairs Health Care System, providing evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment to improve challenges in daily life and alleviate trauma symptoms. Most recently, Autumn served as a contracted clinician for the Department of the Air Force, serving active-duty families navigating the impacts of domestic violence.

Autumn believes we all possess an instinct to move toward growth and healing. Because of this belief, she's passionate about utilizing a humanistic, client-centered approach to guide individuals towards a life that aligns with their aspirations and values. Autumn loves supporting those interested in processing traumatic experiences throughout the lifespan and parents navigating a range of stressors including anger, aggression, school challenges, and ADHD. Autumn is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and enjoys using expressive modalities including art, play, and sand tray interventions to process experiences, reduce symptoms and decrease difficulties in everyday life. Autumn is in the process of receiving additional training and supervision in play therapy to become a Registered Play Therapist.

Autumn has been connected to the military community for most of her life, thanks to her father who served 20+ years in the Air Force. Because of this, she has called multiple states (Utah, Texas, North Dakota, and North Carolina) and countries (England and Italy) home throughout her life. Autumn recently moved from San Antonio, Texas to Florida with her fiancée and two dogs (Goose and Chloe). In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, live music, eating yummy food, and spending time with family! Autumn practices self-care by practicing yoga and pilates, water coloring, and cross-stitching.

Professional Background

Brantley Bruner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Florida and Alabama. Brantley received her Bachelor of Social Work, as well as her Masters of Social Work from The University of Alabama (roll tide!) Brantley completed her practicum at Manassas City Public Schools in Manassas, Virginia, assisting students with life challenges including traumatic grief, pregnancy, insufficient resources, and mental health crises. Most recently, Brantley provided intensive, evidence based trauma therapy treatment to survivors of crime and sexual violence at the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center.

Therapeutic Approach

Brantley creates a safe, supportive space where teens and young adults can be heard and understood. Brantley specializes in working with individuals who have experienced trauma or are navigating common mental health challenges, including anxiety, problematic behaviors, anxiety, and depression. She seeks to guide clients in processing painful experiences and emotions without judgement. Her overall goal is not only to empower clients to heal, but to move towards self-actualization, becoming the best version of themselves.

Brantley uses a number of evidence based treatment modalities and interventions in her work, including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and TF-CBT for Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB). She also has experience utilizing trauma play, Sand Tray, and is adoption competent.

Brantley moved to the area in 2021, after living in Northern Virginia, to return closer to her hometown of Headland, Alabama and her family and the beautiful Emerald Coast beaches. Professional Background

Hailee Klein is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern under supervision of Hillary Owen, LCSW-S. Hailee received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri and her Master in Social Work with a specialty in trauma with children and adolescents from Walden University. Hailee completed her practicum at the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (GCCAC) and worked with both the Victim Advocacy and Child Protection Team the Trauma Therapy Treatment Team. Before seeking her MSW, Hailee worked as a Registered Behavioral Therapist at Westonwood Ranch in Freeport, where she worked with children and adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities.

Hailee is passionate about walking alongside children, young teens, and adolescents and guiding them towards a place of healing and resiliency. Whether overcoming traumatic experiences, or the stresses of everyday life, Hailee is committed to working with you and your child to find solutions to their challenges and celebrating their strengths. She is dedicated to supporting children who are experiencing big behaviors and negative feelings with individualized treatment specific to the child’s needs. Hailee utilizes trauma-informed and evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Sand Tray Therapy. Hailee has training in addressing problematic sexual behavior (PSB), child abuse and neglect, sexual exploitation and human trafficking, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. With a compassion, client-centered approach she strives to create a safe and warm environment, empowering each person to build on their strengths and be the best version of themselves possible.

Hailee is originally from St. Louis, Missouri (Go Cards!) but has called the 30A area home for the past five years. She is thrilled to be living out her childhood dream of living at the beach and loves being only a ten-minute bike ride from her parents' house. Hailee enjoys walking on the beach with her “fur baby,” Ace, and spending time with her family and friends. She is an adventurer at heart and loves to explore new places whenever she gets a chance: restaurants, cities, coffee shops, you name it! Hailee practices self-care through painting, bike riding, junk journaling, and reading. She is passionate about her advocacy for children to have equal access to mental health services and community resources and is dedicated to ensuring every child feels heard and seen when they walk into Driftwood Healing.

Alexa Morrison, MA

Professional Background

Alexa is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern under supervision of Samantha Bickham, LMHC. Alexa received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oregon State University and went on to complete her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Palo Alto University. Alexa completed her clinical practicum and internship in private practice, where she worked individually with children, adolescents and young adults. She also co-facilitated intensive outpatient groups for adolescents addressing mental health and substance use.

Therapeutic Approach

Alexa is passionate about supporting clients while helping them navigate the inevitable challenges of life and heal from past trauma. Alexa has experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression as well as disordered eating and substance use. Alexa’s therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative. She provides a safe, accepting space where clients are met with warmth and unconditional positive regard. Guided by an existential framework, Alexa’s approach encourages clients to explore and lean into their strengths while finding meaning and purpose through life’s most difficult moments.  

Alexa works with clients to build a robust toolbox of coping skills for emotion regulation, mindfulness, and self-discovery. She integrates psychoeducation and supports clients in exploring their identities to foster personal growth and resilience. She utilizes traditional evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Alexa also incorporates Experiential Therapy practices to identify and process negative emotions.

Alexa is originally from Seattle, Washington and moved to Mississippi 15 years ago when she met her husband. After vacationing to 30a for several years, she and her family moved to the area. She enjoys being outside, visiting the beach, practicing yoga and playing with her two small kids. Alexa previously owned a yoga studio and is a 500HR Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor. She loves to introduce others to the power of yoga and has additional training and experience in trauma-informed yoga.
