Hailee Klein is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern under supervision of Hillary Owen, LCSW-S. Hailee received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri and her Master in Social Work with a specialty in trauma with children and adolescents from Walden University. Hailee completed her practicum at the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (GCCAC) and worked with both the Victim Advocacy and Child Protection Team the Trauma Therapy Treatment Team. Before seeking her MSW, Hailee worked as a Registered Behavioral Therapist at Westonwood Ranch in Freeport, where she worked with children and adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
Therapeutic Approach
Hailee is passionate about walking alongside children, young teens, and adolescents and guiding them towards a place of healing and resiliency. Whether overcoming traumatic experiences, or the stresses of everyday life, Hailee is committed to working with you and your child to find solutions to their challenges and celebrating their strengths. She is dedicated to supporting children who are experiencing big behaviors and negative feelings with individualized treatment specific to the child’s needs. Hailee utilizes trauma-informed and evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Sand Tray Therapy. Hailee has training in addressing problematic sexual behavior (PSB), child abuse and neglect, sexual exploitation and human trafficking, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. With a compassion, client-centered approach she strives to create a safe and warm environment, empowering each person to build on their strengths and be the best version of themselves possible.

Hailee is originally from St. Louis, Missouri (Go Cards!) but has called the 30A area home for the past five years. She is thrilled to be living out her childhood dream of living at the beach and loves being only a ten-minute bike ride from her parents' house. Hailee enjoys walking on the beach with her “fur baby,” Ace, and spending time with her family and friends. She is an adventurer at heart and loves to explore new places whenever she gets a chance: restaurants, cities, coffee shops, you name it! Hailee practices self-care through painting, bike riding, junk journaling, and reading. She is passionate about her advocacy for children to have equal access to mental health services and community resources and is dedicated to ensuring every child feels heard and seen when they walk into Driftwood Healing.
