Clinical Therapist Job Opening

Driftwood Healing is seeking a licensed mental health therapist to join the clinical team, with an emphasis on treating children and adolescents (ages 5-18). Driftwood Healing is committed to offering evidenced-based therapeutic interventions that are systemic, trauma-informed, and include strengths-based perspectives to promote social and emotional wellness of our clients and their families.

About Driftwood Healing

Driftwood Healing provides therapy to individuals and families in person in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and virtually to those in Florida, Alabama, and Texas. Our team is led by Hillary Owen, LCSW-QS, EMDR Consultant, TF-CBT Certified, and TBRI Practitioner. We specialize in treating trauma, attachment, and supporting common challenges throughout the lifespan. We are committed to providing inclusive, evidence-based care in a warm and collaborative environment.

Hours

  • Schedule is flexible and will be determined in collaboration with the practice owner

  • The ideal schedule will include at least 18 direct therapy hours per week, including at least 6 hours outside of school hours (3pm or later on school days, or Saturdays)

  • Our team meets weekly for one hour for clinical staffing and consultation, which is strongly encouraged for independently licensed therapists and mandatory for registered interns

Responsibilities

Therapists at Driftwood Healing provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults who are seeking healing and support. This position is responsible for the assessment and evaluation of clients to create and define treatment goals, provides long-term counseling in restoration of mental health difficulties, and supports clients systemically. This position is also responsible for collaborating with parents regarding therapeutic services, parenthood, human development and mental health education. We work as a collaborative team with a person-in-environment approach, which places emphasis on assessing and developing support both inside and outside of session.

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field

  • Licensed by the state of Florida in related field: LCSW, LMHC, LMFT (we are open to registered interns under appropriate license supervision)

  • Advanced training in relevant therapy modalities strongly preferred: EMDR, TF-CBT, formal play therapy training, Sand Tray, etc.

  • Professional, self-motivated, results oriented, and have excellent people and communication skills

  • Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based care 

Compensation

  • This is a 1099 contract position

  • Compensation is based on a fee split of an established per-session rate; fee split and established rate are both based on experience and caseload

  • Compensation includes all costs of practice, including, but not limited to: Electronic Health Records and billing platform, furnished office space and supplies, listing on website, social media, and print materials, and steady stream of referrals

  • Registered Clinical Social Work Interns may receive license supervision as a part of compensation package

  • EMDR Consultation is offered for those who have completed EMDRIA-Approved Basic Training and are seeking EMDR Certification or Consultant status
